Call for Agenda Items

Members are encouraged to submit any matters they wish to have placed on the agenda for discussion during the AGM. If you have any questions that you would like the Board of Trustees to answer or explain, don't hesitate, send your question through. By doing so you will enable the Board to provide good answers and explanations at the AGM. Please send your submissions in writing to info@nammed.org.na by 10 May 2025.

Duties of Trustees

The Board of Trustees plays a critical role in ensuring the sound governance of Nammed. Trustees are responsible for:

  • Overseeing the financial health and sustainability of the Fund.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Protecting the interests of all members.
  • Setting strategic direction and policies.

Call for Trustee Nominations

We are seeking committed and skilled individuals to fill three (3) vacancies on the Board of Trustees. The 1st term of Mr. Johannes Iipinge and Mr. Calie Jacobs have come to an end, and both are eligible for re-election. Mr. Ruaan Smith resigned as Trustee and should be replaced.

To maintain a strong and effective Board, Nammed seeks individuals with expertise in:

  • Legal and compliance expertise
  • Investment and risk management
  • Marketing and communications
  • Human capital management

In addition, according to the Fit and Proper Standard by NAMFISA, all Board members must have:

  • A Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary (NSSCO) or equivalent with commercial or business-related subjects (Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, or any other business subject(s)); and
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in the financial services sector or any other relevant sector.

Nomination Process

If you or someone, who is a fellow member of Nammed, is interested in serving as a Trustee, please submit a completed nomination form, signed by both the nominee and the nominator, along with five (5) supporting member signatures and an updated CV of the nominee including references. All signatories must be Nammed members in good standing.

Nominations must be submitted to info@nammed.org.na by 10 May 2025.

Additional Information

The financial statements will be available on request, and the agenda and the Trustee nominees will be circulated prior to the meeting.

The AGM Pack will be distributed on 23 May 2025.

We encourage all eligible members to take an active role in shaping the governance of Nammed. Your participation strengthens the Fund and ensures that it continues to provide excellent service and benefits to all members.
